Xbox is a popular and most powerful gaming console which is used to play high end games like Forza Horizon 4, Cricket 19 and most popular game of the world GTA V. Xbox is specially designed to play these type of modern games and it has its own UI. which means that you can’t play windows games on Xbox, However almost all the gaming companies develop their games also for Xbox system. As it is clear that Xbox is only used for gaming so it can play high end games in high resolution with perfect smoothness. They release their series according to latest game requirements. Now the two series are being released next week near about 10th November, The Series S and Series X.
The company will start shipping their newly released Xbox Series S and Series X to their fans next week all over the world. One of their fan got Xbox Series S who claimed that their is a significant storage for system functions. However it will be released to others also after a short interval of time and can be varied from country to country. Their is a problem which users can face is that it may be shipped late as expected due to increasing COVID-19 disease all over the world.
The Series S has comparatively low performance than Series X and it also differs in graphics display according to their price and performance. And also their storage capacity differs. However booth have SSD storage built in. The Series S has 512 GB SSD storage pf which 364 GB is available for games. While Series X comes with 1 TB SSD storage of which 802 GB is available free for games. This means that you can install up to 802 GB of games in Series X and 364 GB in Series S.
As I above mentioned that Series S can install games up to 364 GB while Series X can up to 802 GB games. Now the question arises that where is the remaining storage in case one can run out of storage after he/she installs 364GB of games in Series S and 802 GB in Series X. As you know that every system even windows PC and Mobile phones contains OS and that OS requires some space to be installed and being able to work in that system. So is with Xbox. Its OS takes a specific percent of storage in which its OS is installed. Another feature of Xbox which takes a little storage is that it can pause and resume a game smoothly from where you left off. If your storage runs out then you have the option to delete a specific part of a game like single player mode etc.
In the modern Series S and Series X Xbox consoles they introduced a new and very useful feature of extending the storage. You can buy an external storage disk for extending storage. In this matter Seagate makes official 1 TB card for Xbox especially for extending storage which can work efficiently on both Series S and Series X. You will be thinking that the games stored in external card will not work as efficiently as those stored in built in memory, So this is wrong. The officially designed SSD storage by Seagate has a specialty that it can play games as efficiently and smoothly as you got the experience of playing on built -in storage. Also they have planned for 2TB external storage but not available in market yet.
Xbox Operating System
All the operating systems take a specific amount of storage and also Xbox OS takes storage for perfect working. The system reserved space in Series S is 30% while in the Series X is 20%. Microsoft claims that Series S console takes 30% less storage for a specific game than Series X console. The reason behind is that Series S can play games up to 1440 pixels resolution while Series X play up to 4k pixels. So Series S doesn’t need extra graphics or textures and that’s why it takes less storage.
