Introduction and unboxing

Motorola’s Moto G9 Play is here for review. Motorola still uses its MOTO branding for G series as well as for E series but for other series it uses its Motorola branding. Moto series always releases with its all plus models but now it had not revealed the Moto G9 plus on the release of Moto G9 Play. Motorola launches some of its high-end devices in Moto phones likewise Moto G9 Play.

Coming to the box there are some usual accessories with the phone but unfortunately you will not get any headphones in the box so you have to buy it externally. The big black box contains a USB to type-C data cable for charging and for data transfer. Also there is an adapter present in the box along with some quick guides.
Performance and UI
Moto G9 Play is built on powerful processor of snapdragon 662(11nm) which an octa-core processor and is good for heavy processes. Here we find the GPU of Adreno 610 in the phone. The phone comes in only one variant 64GB storage and 4GB storage. It is one of the Motorola’s budget phones.

The G9 Play comes with the same software as other Motorola’s phones but as it is a budget phone so it misses some of the features. But still you can find all the necessary features in the phone. There is a clean android 10 UI with some additional Motorola’s features. Also Android 10 gestures are present in it and you will be instructed before using them.
Design and Display

Moto G9 Play has an attractive and smooth design on both sides. The classical design of the notch made a comeback in this phone and it looks attractive as it is a budget phone. On the back only two things, camera bump and the fingerprint sensor with M written on it. The back has no texture but a simple design.

The display is made of IPS LCD which is not of good quality but one can afford it in a reasonable price. The 6.5 inches screen has an unspecified version of gorilla glass but it is noticed that it is of low quality. The resolution is also low-end and it is 720*1600 pixels only.
Cameras

The main camera is a triple camera module. According to the budget of the phone one can say that it has good cameras. The min camera used for taking normal photos is 48MP and it also contains wide-angle photo shooting feature. Others are 2MP macro and depth cameras. The macro camera will take micro level photos while the other is used to take portrait photos. This is all the rear cameras of the phone.

The front camera is a single camera in the shape of a notch at the top of the screen. It is just 8MP camera which can take [email protected]/60 fps videos and has HDR as an additional feature. The rear camera can take videos similar to the front camera.

Battery and charging
Moto G9 Play contains a Li-Po large battery of 5000mAh which is best for long use of phone without charging. The phone has also 20W fast charge feature with a type-C port. But unfortunately it has no wireless charging feature which is also necessary in the modern era.
Other Features

There are several other features in which we come to know with a list of sensors that Moto G9 Play contains. Moto G9 Play has Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro and proximity sensors. The radio is unspecified in this phone model but it supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It comes in three colors Sapphire Blue, Forest Green, and Spring Pink
